Article 882--Thc assessor aimed collector of taxes
shall provide and keep a book of blank licenses, numbered in con-

a re si dente of the -person to whoa i t is issued, the date of issuance,
a description of the animal licensed, whether dog or bitch, the
place vvhere usually ,kept, the amount of license fee .paid therefor.,
II and that, subject to the ordinances, rules and regulations of the
city, theperson obt-aininesulth license has permission to kap.. such
dog or bitch in the city from the date of the license until
December 31st -next thereafter. A memorandum of such license
shall be kept on a.marginal stub in such book. The assessor and
collector
shall
also
provide
and
issue with each such
license
a metalfic
tag,
to be
worn on
the
collar of 'the animal
licensed,y
and bearing a number W corresponding with the license, and also
the calendar year during which it is issued. Every person_ keeping
any dog or bitch in the ai ty ofeumvn shall procure from the
assessor and collector of taxes license and tag for -.each dog or.
bitch so kftav and
shall pay .a license fee of two dollars for each
dog, and ^fo- each bitch so licensed, which fee shall be charged and
collected by . said assessor and collector for account of the city
and be paid as" "other funds into the trea-sury of the city.
Article 883 ---Every officer or special officer or in-
spector cif- the City o -f -Beaumont shall have the- .-right. anc is _hereby
authorized to enter upon the premi si-as of any person who is the
owner or keeper .of a dog or bitch for the purpose of ascertaining
whether such animal has, been properly tagged and licensehas been

such assistance- as may be provided, to capture, take charge o� and

hereinafter prescribed to redeem such animal, the keeper
of the pound shall advertise such animal for sale by publishing
notice thereof in a newspaper of this..d ty, said sale to be.
made not earlier than forty-eight (48) hours after such advertise-
ment, and such notice Ehall give the time and place of such sale*

Article 8$�- All money collected by the tax assessor
And collector from license-,-- issued by -him- under thi-s- o-rdinance

the City Council.

Arti-cle -887--Any person who shall tiola.te aiv of-

the,peceeding articles of this Chapter relative to dogs, shall be
fined not less than 45.00 nor more than $50.00.
Section 2.
This -a-rc?inance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its passage, approval by the Mayor and lawful publi-
cation.
