Apportioning a tax of forty five cents, five and two tenths mills,
(.4552) on each one hundred dollars valuation of'all taxable property
within the limits of the city of Beaumont, Texas, heretofore levied and
ordered collected by an ordinance passed by the city council of
the city of Beaumont, on the 16th day of October, 1917, repealing
all ordinances in confiiet herewith, and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That the tax of forty five cents, five and two tenths mills (.4552)
on each one hundred dollars valuation on all taxable property within
the limits of the city of Beaumont, Texas, heretofore lavied and
ordered collected by an ordinance passed by the city council of the
city of Beaumont, Texas, an. the 16th day .of October, A.D. , 1917, be
and the same is hereby apportioned among the various interest and
bond sinking funds, as follows.-

bonds, dated Aug. 1,1898, three mills (.003).
To the interest and sinking fund of Refunding Bonds dated April lst,
1899, three mills (.003). -
To the -interest and- sinking -fund--of- Funding. _Bonds. No.l, -dated
April 5th, 1899, three mills (0003).
To the interest and sinking fund of Funding Bonls No.2, dated
Dec. 1,1902, tjree and four tenths mills (.0034),
To the interest and sinking fund{of Sewerage Bonds No.2, dated
June 1,1901, one cent and five mills (#015).
To the interest and sinking fund of Sewerage Bonds No.3, dated
Dec. 1,1902, one cent and one mill (.011).
To the interest and sinking fund of Sewerage Bonds No.4, dated

7/1/1915, two cents, three mills (.023).
To the interest and sinking fund of Street Improvement and Repair
Bonds No.4, dated 7/1/1915, one cent, nine and_ six tenths mills (.0196).
To the interest and sinking fund of Sewerage Bonds No.9, dated
7/1/1915, sig and nine tenths mills (.0069).
To the interest and sinking fund of School Building Bonds (Serial),
dated 11/1/1916, six cents, seven mills (.067).

To the interest and sinking fund of Park Bonds No.2, dated
aggregating in amount P100,000.00,
principal thereof payable in serial installments, the first'
installment, maturing and the last installment
maturing the sum of two cents, three mills,
(.023).
SECTION II.
That the city tax assessor and collector ishereby instructed to
pro rate the said sum of forty five cents, five and two tenths mills,
(.4552), according to the provisions of this ordinance and to so
prepare his statement and report to the city treasurer that said
officer may be able to place all collections made under said tax to
the credit of the proper fund, and the same shall not be diverted
or used for any other purpose.
SECTIDN III.
That all laws and 'parts of laws in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed, in so far as they conflict vrith this ordinance.
SECTION IV.
The fact that no apportionment has been made of the forty five cents,
five and two tenths mills (.4552) levied this day, in order to take
care of the intere-st and provide sinking .farads. for the.bonded indebted-
ness of the city of Beaumont, creates a public necessity and imperative
public emergency, necessitating the suspension of the rule requir ing
ordinances to be read at three regular meetings. Sa-Ld rule is therefore
hereby suspended, and this ordinance shall go into full force and
effect from and after its bawful passage -and publication.
Passed this the pith day of October, A.D., 1917.
