Sec. 1.
That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation to deposit or permit to be deposited in the City
of Beaumont, Texas, any r ice , eha.ff , burnt vice .or., similar sub-

stance, unless .said rice. ,chaff, burnt 'rice or 0.1milar substance'
so deposited is sodded down or fixed in such manner that it will
not be, blown on any otherpremises in .the. City of Beaumont.
Sec. 2.
That'.any person, firm • or carpor ation violating
the provisions of Section One .shall' be; deemed guilty of
a misdemeanor anal upon conviction therefor in the Corporation
Court of the, Citi of Beaulaont be fined in any sum not to; exceed
Two Hundred Dollars,, and each days, violation shall eons'titut
a . separ ate offense.
See. 3.
If sny,10�1rs on; firm or caporation, is guilty of
the of fense herein it shall be its duty t o i nmediately

remove said rice chaff, burnt r ice or similar subsiaiceout of the
City limits and to fix same so that it will not be in violation
of this Ordinance., and each day that said person-, firm or corporatim
'fails to remove said.' rice chaff, burnt rice or similar substance
it shall be subject to the penalty herein provided.
Sec. 4.
The City of B e aa. mo nt sh � 11, have the further
right: to renove said substance. and in addition to
imposing the fine for the . violation of. this Ordinance it shall
have the r ight to impose the cost of such re moval upon the
person, firm or corporation guilty of violating the provisions
of this Ordinance, and charge -'aid cost to the said person,
fixm or corporation and to br irk suit therefor in a. court of compet►-
wpm—
en t jurisdiction.
Sec. 5..

was referred the attached ordinance regulating the
depositing of rice chaff, burnt rice and any similar
substance in the city of Beaumont, beg to report
