AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING.FOR THE EXTENSION OF.CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS'. OF THE CITY OF. BL,,UMONT AND THE, AN-
NEXATION OF CERTAIN ADDITIONAL. TERRITORY, VMICH SAID
ADDITIONAL TERRITORY LIES.ADJACENT.*TO THE PRESENT,
BOUNDARY LIMITS'OF THE CITY OF BEAUI�ONT -IN THE PARTI-
CUL�IRS STATED IN SAID ORDINANCE AND RESCINDING AND
NULLIFYING THE ACTION -TAKEN BY THE .CITY COUNCIL ON-'
DECEMBER 18, 1956. ON AN- ORDIiANCE LT\TNEXING PART OFTHE
THE
TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN,
BE -IT ORDAINED BY'. THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:.
That the 'following des.'cribe.d land and ,territory .lying ad-
jacent to The.City of.Beaumont.be, and,the-same is hereby; added
and annexed'to The City of Beaumont, and that the said territory
hereinafter.described shall. hereafter- be included within„'the.b.oun-
dary.limits of The City. -of Beaumont, and,the present boundary
limits of said. City,' at. the various points contiguous to the area
hereinafter described, ar.e altered and amended so as to -include
said area within the corporate limits of'The City of Beaumont:
Beginning at the, intersection of -the south line,of
the H_.. R. Williams Survey with. the: right descending -
bank. ;of the. water's edge, of. the" -Neches River., said
point being on'!the present.City Limits -Line .of ,the
City-ofBeaumont; :Jef.ferso' n County, -Texas;
Thence following the right 'descending bank of the:.:
water's edge of ..the Neches',Rive.r'dcwn said river
with its meanderings to ,the north, right-of-way line
of U.: 'S : Highway 90 as ..it...is noir -relocated;
Thence west .along';.th-e 'said north right-of-way line
of said U. S.. Highway:'90 as it' is, now relocated, 'to
its intersection with the.centerline of Brakes Bayou,
said point being --on the..present City Limits Line of
the.City of Beaumont.;
Thence ;'up the., centerline of Brakes Bayou..'with its
meanderirigs to'its intersectionwith the',north line
of the Beaumont Heights -Subdivision;
Thence west along the north line ' of the Beaumont.
Heights Subdivision to the southwest corner of the
John and Dora Happ'Subdi.vision.or the southeast
corner of the Hilliop'Addition;-
Thence `-north along the'. east line' of the Hilltop tid-
dition to the northeast corner of said Addition;
Thence west along the north line of the Hilltop Ad-
dition and said line produced to its intersection
with the centerline of Pine Street (formerly Collier's
Ferry Road);
Thence in a generally northeasterly direction along
the centerline of Pine Street (formerly Collier's
Ferry Road) to its intersection with the right de-
scending bank or the left ascending bank of the
water's edge of the Neches River; -
Thence following the left ascending bank of the
water's.edge of.the Neches River up said river .with
its meanderings to its intersection with.the north
line of the Hezekiah Williams, Jr. Survey or the.
south line of the H. R. Williams.Survey;
Thence west along the said south line of the H. R:
Williams Survey to the. southwest .corner o'f said
H. R. Williams Survey, said point being in the east
line of the Thomas Speer League;
..Thence south along the east line of . the Thomas Speer
League to the southeast corner of said Thomas Speer
League, said point being on.the dividing line between
the Thomas Speer League and the Frederick- Bigner Sur -
Vey;
Thence westward along the dividing line -.between the
Frederick Bigner Survey and the Thomas Speer'League
to the southwest -corner of the Thomas Speer League
or the ,northwest corner'of the Frederick Bigner Sur-
vey;
Thence southward along the west.line of the Frederick
Bigner Survey to the southwest corner of said Fred-.
erick Bigner Survey, said point, being on the north
line of the Hezekiah Williams League;

Hezekiah Williams League to its intersection with
the centerline of Dowlen Road;
Thence southward along the centerline of Dowlen Road
to the centerline of Dowlen Road where it turns wd#-
ward and extends along the north' boundary of Lot 1,

Thence westward along the centerline of :Dowlen Road,
which road extends along the north boundary of Lot 1,
Block "C" of the.Langham Estate Subdivision, to its
intersection with the centerline of Dowlen Road where
it again turns southward;
Thence southward along the centerline of •Dowlen Road,
said Road extending along the ,Jest line of Lots 1, 2,
39, 41, 5 and 6 of Block "C" of the Langham Estate 'Sub-
division,, to its intersection with` I'the Missouri ,Pacific
Railroad right-of-way line;
Thence southeastward along the centerline of Dowlen
Road.to'its intersection with the north line of Lot 1,

duced or the south line of Dowlen Road as it extends
eastward;
Thence.eastward along the said south line of Dowlen
Road and the north line of said Lot 1,'Block "D" and
said line produced.to the northeast corner of said
Lot 11 Block "D", said point. being in.the south line
of the Hezekiah Williams League or the north line of
the Charles Williams League;
Thence eastward along the said south line of the
Hezekiah +Jilliams League or the said north line of
the Charles Williams League to its intersection with
the west line of.Caldwood or the east line of Block
"G" of the Langham Estate Subdivision;
Thence southward along the dividing line between.
Caldwood and Block "G" of the Langham Estate Sub-!-

right-of-way line of the Texas & New Orleans Railroad
said point being the southwest corner of Caldwood;
Thence continuing southward along a line having a
bearing of South 00 degree 14 minutes West for a dis-

(397.3) feet to the point of curve of a curve to the
left;
Thence'in a southeasterly direction along a curve to
the left having a radius of two hundred fifty (250)
feet and a central angle of 45 degrees 14 minutes for
a distance measured along the arc of one hundred
ninety-seven and one tenth (197.1) feet to the point
of tangency of 'said curve;
Thence south 45'degrees 00 minutes -East -six hundred
eighty and five tenths .(680.5) feet'to the point of
curve of. a curve, to the right;
Thence in a southerly direction along a -curve to the
right having a radius of four hundred fifty (450)
feet and a central angle of 45 degrees for a distance
measured along the arc of three hundred fifty-three
and four -tenths (353.4) feet to the point of tangency
of said curve in the west line. -of .Caldwood Acres, or

line of the Charles Williams League;

eastward;
Thence southeastward along the centerline of Walden
Road to its intersection with.the centerline of the
Gulf and Interstate Railway Company's right of way;
Thence northeastward,along the said centerline of
the Gulf and Interstate.Railway Company's right'of
way to'its intersection.with the centerline of Hille-
brandt Bayou;
Thence•south along the centerline of Hillebrandt
Bayou to'its intersection with the north line of the
James Rowe Survey or the south line of the James•W.
Bullock Survey produced 'tirestward through the Samuel
Stivers League;
Thence eastward along the said north line of the
James Rowe Survey produced westward through the
Samuel Stivers League to the northwest corner of the
James .Rowe Survey, said point being in ..the east line
of the Samuel Stivers League;
Thence south along the east line of the Samuel
Stivers League to the southeast corner of said Samuel
Stivers League;
Thence.west along the south line of the Samuel Stivers
League to the southwest corner•of said Samuel Stivers

Thence along the easterly line. of -said .Tyrrell lateral
and continuing.along'the'-Port Arthur Canal in a north-
erly. -..and northwesterly direction to the intersection
of said canal with the south line .of the present Miss-
ouri Pacific Railroad right of way;
Thence'in a westerly direction along the south.line
of said present Missouri Pacific Railroad right of
way to a point in said south•line which 'lies two
thousand six hundred forty (264.0) feet.west of the
west line of the Keith Road,'if extended southward;
Thence north along a line parallel to and two thou-
sand six hundred forty (2640).feet from the west line
of.the Keith Road right of way to the centerline of
the old Beaumont -Sour Lake Road;-

Thence east along the center of the old Beaumont -
Sour Lake Rcad.to a point one thousand one hundred
forty-four (1144) feet west of the west side of
the.Amelia-Rosedale Road (Farm to Market Road No.
364);.
Thence north along a line parallel to and one thou-
sand one hundred forty-four (114.4) feet from the
west line of the Amelia -Rosedale Road (Farm to Market
Road No. 364) to a point two thousand six hundred
seven (2607) feet from the north line of the old
Beaumont -Sour Lake Road;
Thence east along a line parallel to and two thousand
six hundred seven (2607) feet from the north line of
the old.Beaumont-Sour Lake Road to a point which is
four hundred (400) feet from the west line of the
Amelia -Rosedale -Road (Farm to Market Road No, 364);
Thence north along a line parallel to and four hundred
(400) feet from_ the crest line of the Amelia -Rosedale
Road (Farm to Market Road No. 364) to the center of
the Dishman Road;
Thence east 'along the center of the Dishman Road to
the center of the Amelia -Rosedale Road.'(Farm to
Market Road No: 364);
Thence north along the center 'of` the I&elia-Rosedale
Road (Farm to Market -Road No. 364) to the northeast
corner of the A. Houston League and the northwest
corner of the Hezekiah Williams League, said point
also being the southeast corner of the Danial.Easley
League;.
Thence 'rest along the dividing, line between the A.

southwest corner,.of th-e Daniel Easley League;
Thence north along.the west'line'of the,Daniel Easley.
League -to its intersection with the centerline of
Pine Island Bayou;
Thence down the centerline of Pine Island Bayou with
its meanderings in a generally easterly direction to
its intersection with the right descending bank of -
the water's edge of the Neches River;
Thence following the right descending bank of the
water's edge of the Neches River down said River
with its meanderings to the place of beginning.

That the above described additional territory and area so
annexed. shall' be a part .of The City of Beaumont, and the property
so added therein shall bear its pro rata part of the taxes levied
by The City of Beaumont, and the inhabitants thereof shall be
