ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, -'-all State, statutes, and ordinances, l,of The City of
Beaumont pertaining to public.hearings and notices to property owners
having -been - complied with, and"the City Planning and Zoning="C
ommis-
Sion of The City of Beaumont having :recommended' .to -the Ciiy.Council `
of The'City-of -Beaumont that•the -zoning classification of.the herein
described property be changed from "C-1" to "R=1";
NOW, THEREFORE BE' IT ORDAINED -BY THE'CITY OF BEAUMONT
TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the Zoning, Ordinance enacted by the City Council of The.
City of Beaumont, Texas, on the'7th day'of June, 1955, is -hereby
amended by changing the zoning.classification of the following de-
scribed property;, to wit:
That portion of ahe,property along the south side of
East Lucas Drive extending.from..the west line of'Lot
7, Block 5 of the Country -Club Terrace Addition,.
Beaumont,. -Jefferson County, .Texas, eastward to the
east line of Tract 182-A,' Plat D-19,. A. Williams"Sur-
vey, City of Beaumont.Tax Assessor's Plat Book, and
that portion of the property along the north.side of
East Lucas Drive, extending from' the centerline of
the alley in Block B of the Southerland Addition,'
Beaumont, .Jefferson County, Texas,- eastward to the.
east line of Tract 182=A, Plat D-19, A. Williams Sur-
vey, City,of Beaumont Tax Assessor's Plat:Book,-but
including only that area of the two described por-
tions designated as "C-1". Neighborhood Commerbial�
District -on the official zoning map of The City of
Beaumont., as of the time'immediately preceding'the
passage.of this,amendatory ordinance,
from "C-1", Neighborhood Commercial District to "R-1", Single Family
Dwelling District, and the official zoning map of, The City of Beau
mont is ;hereby amended to reflect ,such. ,change.-
Section 2.
That in.all other respects the use'of the.property herein
above described .shall be'subject to.all..of the applicable regulations
contained in the Zoning ,Ordinance` of. The . City -of. Beaumont enacted by
the City Council on June,71 1955.
Section -3.
.That the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall. be
deemed to `be severable and that if the validity of the --zoning affect -
Ing any portion of the property described hereinabove shall -be de
clared to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the
zoning of the balance of.the property described herein.
