_ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING GULF
STATES UTILITIES COMPANY TO PLACE IN
EFFECT NEW AND REVISED RATE SCHEDULES,
TO WIT: REVISED SCHEDULES 301 -TC,
401 -B -T AND 417; NEw SCHEDULE 460 AND
TO CLOSE SCHEDULES 415-T, 415 -B -T AND
460-T TO NEW CUSTOMERS, IN THE CITY OF,
BEAUMONT, TEXAS, EFFECTIVE AS OF METER
READINGS MADE BY SUCH COMPANY ON AND
AFTER JULY 1, 1957•
WHEREAS, Gulf States Utilities Company on, , 1957, has
requested authority to substitute Revised Schedules 301 -TC, 01 -B -T and 417,
respectively, for the then currently effective Schedules 301 -TC, 401 -B -T and 417;
for authority to close Schedules 415-T, 415 -B -T and 460-T to new 'customers; and
for authority to establish New Schedule 460.. Such Revised Schedules 301 -TC,
401 -B -T and 417, and such Closed Schedules 415-T, 415 -B -T and 460-T, and such New
Schedule 460 have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Beaumont,, and
approved by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
BEAUM0NT0 TEXAS.
Section 1.
That Gulf States Utilities Company is hereby authorized to place into effect as to
readings made by it on and after July 1, 1957, of its customers' meters located in
Beaumont, Texas, Revised Schedules 301 -TC, 401 -B -T and 417; New Schedule 460, and
to close Schedules 415-T, 415 -B -T and 460-T to new customers which New. Revised and
Closed Schedules have heretofore been filed by Gulf States Utilities Company with
the City of Beaumont and Gulf States Utilities Company is further authorized to
discontinue, upon said New and Revised Schedules being placed in effect'$ its previ-
ously effective Rate Schedules 301 -TC, 401 -B -T, and 417.
Section 2.
That nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed in any manner now or
hereafter limiting or modifying the right and power of the City Council under the
law to regulate the rates charged by Gulf States Utilities Company for its services
within the City of Beaumont.

the City of Beaumont and Gulf States Utilities Company is further authorized to
discontinue, upon said New and Revised Schedules bei placed in effect, its -,previ-
ously effective Rate Schedules 301 TC, 401 -B -T, and 4.7.
Section 2.
That nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed in any manner now or

within the City of Beaumont.
