AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON JUNE
71 1955, vJHICH SAID ORDINANCE ADOPTED ZONING REGULA-
TIONS, USE DISTRICTS, AND ZONING MAP, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, BY CHANGING THE ?ONING
A10 CLASSIFICATION OF THE FOLLO�,ENG PROPERTY(, TO WIT:
TRACT 228 OUT OF PLAT D-161 CITY TAX ASSESSOR'S ACRE-
AGE PLAT BOOK, SHALL BE CHANGED FROM ITS PRESENT "R-3",
MODIFIED TWO-FAMILY AND MULTIPLE DWELLING DISTRICT
AREA CLASSIFICATION, TO "R--2", TWO --FAMILY AND MULTIPLE
DvVELLING DISTRICT AREA CLI�SSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission of The
City of Beaumont, in compliance with the Charter and State laws
with reference to the zoning ordinance regulations and zoning map,
have given requisite notices by publication and otherwise, and
after holding due hearing and affording a full and fair hearing
all of the property owners generally, and the persons entitled, to
situated in the affected area and in the vicinity thereof, the City
Council of The City of Beaumont is of the opinion that the zoning
change should be made as set forth herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUiJONT,
TEXAS
Section 1.
That the "Zoning Ordinance' enacted by the City Council of
The City of Beaumont on the 7th day of June, 1955, be, and the same
is,hereby, amended insofar as the property hereinafter described,
and shall hereafter be zoned and have an area classification as
hereinafter set forth; and shall be subject to the provisions of
said ordinance, generally, and the zoning map be, and it is hereby,
amended and corrected so that the property hereinafter described
shall be zoned as provided below:
A tract of land being Tract 228 out of Plat D-16, City Tax
Assessor's Acreage Plat Book, said tract being bounded on the east
by Longfellow Drive, on the south by Gladys Avenue, on the west by
Block 25, Calder Place Addition, and on the north by Brentwood
