Section 1

ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING SIX GOZINCILIviEN AS DESIGNATED
IN SAID ' ORDINANCE; NJ�LIING THE PLACES AT iffiICH L;jUD ELECTION SHALL
BE HELD AND DESIGNATING THE PLACES 'XIIERE THE VOTEnS SlikLL VOTE; AND

Section 1
ThNu•An accordA66 with Section 26, Sub -section 4, of
the Chartt,�j of the City .ot- 4paumont and other provisions of said
Charter, and the laws of. the State of Texas relating thereto,
then, shall be held in the Uty of Beaumont on the first Tuesday }
in�'April, 1943, the same beings he -6th day of April, A. D. 1943,
a regular municipal election foz�.said City for the purpose of
,electing two councilmen for the .nrst .'lard, two councilmen for
the Second `'Jard, and two councilmen. -"or the Third Ward in said
City.
Section 2
That said election shall be held `I the_pity of Beaumont
in the following. -Maces, to -wit:

In the uecond Ward at the City Hall.

David Crockett Junior High School Building, and South
Park Elementary School Building.
That all voters residing in Oounty voting -precinct number 1
in the City shall vote Tench School Building; that all voters
residing in oounty voti#g precinct number 2. -.in the City shall vote
at Junker School Building- that all voters. residing in County voting
precinct number 4 in the%6lty and that part of county voting precinct
number 47 lying within th,city limits of the City of Be=umont shall
vote at Averill School Bu%lding; that all voters residing in oounty
voting precincts numbers 3 6 and 7 in the Uity shall vote at the
Central Fire Station; that a\11 voters residing in County voting
precincts numbers 5, u and 9 in the Gity,shall vote at the City Hall;
that all voters residing in County voting precincts numbers 10, 13

City shall vote at David.Crockett Junior High School Building; and

Building.
Section 3
The following named per are app_)inted presiding judges
for their respective vating boxes in said wards, with the authority
to select cnd appoint their own clerks:
At the French School Building Mrs. J. A. Rennich
At the Junker School Building Mrs. J, E. Ray
At the Averill School Building 'halter Seibert
At the Central Fire Station W. S. Siler
At the City Hall Ray Watson

Section 4
That said election shall be }field under, and the qualifica-
tions of those voting thereat shall be -controlled by the provisions
of the State Laws governing elections.
Section 5.
That a copy of this ordinance signed by the Mayor of the
City -of Beaumont, and attested by the City Clerk thereof shall
serve as proper and sufficient notice of said election, and the
Mayor is hereby directed to cause.a_copy of'this ordinance, signed
by himself' and attested by the Uity Clerk, to be posted at each of
the places herein designated for holding said election at least
thirty (30) days prior -to the date of holding sE-Lid election.
Section 6
That an ar , n— ce has not- yet been p� ssed -praviding --for-'-
and ordering a general municipal election for the year 1943, and
that such ordinance is necessary, -thereby creating an imperative
public emergency necessitating the suspension '4:)f the. rulc;- - requiring
ordinances to be read on three separate days before their passage,
wherefore, said rule is hereby suspended and this ordinance shall
take effect from and after its passage and the signature of the
Mayor.
Passed by the affirmative vote of all members of the City
Commission, this the 3rd day of I arch, 1L . D. 1943.
