AN 0 R D I N A N C E.
Dranting to the Beaumont Wharf and Terminal Company
its successors and assigns for a period of years, the right �T
and privilege$ to construct and lay a track and operate its
trains and'ears thereon, on, over and across Washington Street,
cahrnmencing at a point on the north or northwest side of
Washington street, where said north or northwest line of said
street intersects or crosses the main line of the Beaumont Wharf
and Terminal Company's track, as now located, thence in a
eu.sterly or -south easterly direction across said street to the
south or southeast line of said street.and prescribing the
conditions thereof.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Beaumont,

That the Beaumont Wharf and Terminal Company, its

successors and assigns, be and it is hereby granted the right and
privilege to construct and maintain at its own expense a single
standard gauge railroad track on, over and across Washing ton
Street as follows:
Commencing at a point on the north or northwest side
of Washington Street where said north or northwest line of said
street intersects or crosses the mainline of the Beaumont Wharf
and. Terminal Company's track as now located, thence in a easterly
or southeasterly direction across said street to the south or

Ordinance.
S E C T I O N 11.
The foregoing right and privilege is especially
granted upon the express condition, that the said Grantee,its

successors and assigns shall within thirty days after the
passage of this Ordinance, acting. through its proper of ficer,
file with the City Secretary it's written acceptance of this
Ordinance, and deposit with the City Secretary the sum of
Twenty --five Dollars ($25.00) pay the cost of publishing this
Ordinance and upon further condition that the track to be
constructed hereunder, should be completed within th 3r ty days
from the paasage of this Ordinance; and on the failure of the
Grantee, it's successors and assigns to file it t s acceptance
and deposit the sum of Twenty-five (25.00) Dollars, to the
City Secretary as herein --before provided, then this f rare hise
shall be null and void aftkof no further force and effect.

the City of Beaumont, now in existence, or that may be passed_:'-- I

S E C T 1 0 N 1V.
This Ordinance will go into effect aryl force
from and after its passage and filing of it's written accep
tante.;: and depositing the sum of Twenty-five (25.00) dollars
as heretofore provided, and lawful publication as provided
by the City Charter, and shall continue for a period 0MA,01t,�
years thereafter, unless sooner forfeited or annulled.
Passed this day of October, A.D. 1912.
