and street railways and all street intersections.
The lots, parts of lots, blocks or tracts of land: on whichlsaid- tax
is levied and assessed is hereinafter described, together with the number of
feet front in such lot, parts of lots, blocks or.tracts of land, the name or
names of the owner or owners thereof and the proportionate amount of the cost
of,said paving and the cost of said curbing -to be borne and paid for by such
owner or owners as shown by the roll prepared by the City Engineer of the City.
of Beaumont, which said amount is hereby levied and assessed as a tax upon such

That --the said tax-so--levied-and-assessed shall -become due and pay.-
able
ay-able upop the completion of the -:paving upon which the por-tion of -said streets
on which lots -,parts 'OT -lots, blocks ' or tracts.. of land front or abut.
SECTION 0.
That all the- cost- of'.grading- and- paving that -portion of Calder Ave-
nue from First Street -to Eighth Street -1 --between the rails of_„the Beaumont
- Traction Company and -a-.:.space extending. twenty=-four -('24) inches beyond the
outer edge of the rails of said -company -shall be borne by the -said Beaumont
Traction Company and 'such cost of said. improvements are hereby assessed against
the -said Beaumont Traction Company and shall` -be' -collected -as other assessments
levied under this ordinance. Provided-su-ch work shall be done in accordance
with the'City ordinances regulating the construction of, -railways in the streets
of the City -of Beaumont' and t=he-paving-o.f such: streets traversed by same..
SECTION 4.
That all the cost of„grading.and paving that portion'of Park-Sireet
from -Irma Avenue to Railroad Avenue between the-rails.of the TexarRana & Fort
Smith. Railway” Company and a space extending twe7ity.-four inches beyond the_. outer
edge -of the rails of said company shall be borne by the.said Texarkana & Fort. -
Smith .Railway 'Company =.and such -cost of said improvements .are hereby assessed
against the,said Texarkana.and Fort Smith Railway Company and shall be collec-
ted as other assessments levied_. -under this ordinance. Provided such work shall
be done in accordance with the City Ordinances regulating.the construction of
railways in the streets .of- -the City. of Beaumont` and' -the,. paving of such streets
traversed by same. _

Owing to the -necessity for.paving in -the City".of Beaumont creates
an emergency -and the rule -r-r
equiring Ordinances to-be'at-three separate
meetings .he :and the same is hereby suspended and:'this. Ordinance .--shall take ef-
fect' and be -in full force and -affect from and .after its- passage - and lawful
publication.;.
