HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6-AAN AN ORDINANCE 16113 Entitled an ordinance apportioning a tag of fifty- two- ($.52) cents on each one-hujldred 100.00) dollars valuation of all taxable property within the limits of the City of Beatmout, Texas, heretofore ,levied and ordered to be collected by an Ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of Beaumont , on the 6th day of May, A.D. 1913 and which ordinance is recorded in Book No. 3, page 222 of the Ordinances of said City. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C.OU14CIL OF THE CITY OF BEAT MONT : SECTION I. That the tax of fifty two- ( .52) cents on each one -hundred ( 100.00) dollars valuation of all taxable property within the limits of the City of Beaumont, as levied and order- ad rder-ed collected by an ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of Beaumont on the 6th day of 1/ay, A.D. 1913, be and the same is hereby apportioned among the various interest and bond - sinking funds as'follows:- To the interest and sinking fund of nater Works and Street paving bonds, dated August 1st, 1898, seven and two-tenths .(.0072) mills. That the City tax Assessor and Collector is. hereby instructed. to prorate the said sum of fifty-two centsaccording to the provisions of this ordinance, and to so prepare his statement and reports to the City Treasurer, that said officer may be able to place all collections made under said tax to the credit of the proper fund, and the same shall not be diverted or used for any other purpose. V SECTION III• That all -ordinances -or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its final passage, approval by the Mayor and lawful publication.
