I ORDINANCE
Entitled an ordinance amdnding Section 2 of article
382 of the Revised Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont
as codified by Messxs- c'Dowell and Davidson of date
7th, 1911.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TII,' CITY COUWCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMOUT

That section 2 of article 382 of the revised code
of ordinances of the City of Beaumont as codified by Idessrs.
MdDowell and Davidson of date I .: 7th, 191_1, be amended
so that it shall 1,,ereafter read as follows
'rSection 2"
" it shall be the duty of the Asse sor and Colle ctor ,
o., his authorized deputy, between the- first day of January and
the first day of I.Iay of each and every year between the hours
of 8 A.L. and 12 Ild. and. frarn 2 P.IT- to 5 to take at his
office or in such public place as he may designate, from any person
who may appear before him, or his deputy, a complete list or
inventory of such person's taTable property, and all property

subject to taxation by the laws of the State of Texas and the
ordinances of the City of Beaumont, held or controlled 'by such
person or agent or attorney, trustee, guardian, executor or
ad-ministratDr; but assessments taken on other days hnd between
other hoizrs than those herein specified shall be valid."
SECTION II.
All ordinances or Darts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION III.
This ordinance shall go intoforce and effect from and
after its passage and lawful p_,blication as required by the Charter
as codified by Messrs.MdDowell and Davidson of date
7th, 1911•

That section 2 of article 382 of the revised code
of ordinances of the City of Beaumont as codified by Messrs.
MdDowe11 and Davidson of date 7th, 1911, be amended
so that it shall hereafter read as follows:
"Section 2"
" It shall be the duty of the Assessor and Collector,,
or his authorized deputy, between the first day of January and
the first day of 11ay of each and every year between the hours
of 8 A.M. and 12 1J. and from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. to take at his
office or in such public place as he may designate, from any -person
who may appear before him, or his deputy, a complete list or
inventory of such person's taTable property, and all property
subject to taxation by the laws of the State of Texas and the
ordinances of the City of Beaumont, held or controlled by -such
person or agent or attorney, trustee, guardian, executor or
administratDr; but assessments taken on other days hnd between
other hours than those herein specified shall be valid."
SECTION II.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflfrct
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION III.
This ordinance shall go intoforce and effect from and
