ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A PART OF
THE AREA LOCATED IN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT AS AN
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AS AUTHORIZED BY THE
MUNICIPAL ANNEXATION ACT; PROVIDING THE PUR-
POSE OF SUCH DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING THAT
SUCH DISTRICT SHALL BE KNOWN AS THE "CITY OF
BEAUMONT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT NO. 5".
Whereas, the "Municipal Annexation Act", Article 970a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, authorizes a city to designate
any part of the area located in its extraterritorial juris-
diction as an industrial district and to contract with the
owners of land in such district guaranteeing the extraterritorial
status of such district; and,
Whereas, the City Council of The City of Beaumont
deems it to be in the best interest of The City of Beaumont
to designate the hereinafter described area an industrial
district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That the area described in Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and made a part hereof, located within the extrater-
ritorial jurisdiction of The City of Beaumont is hereby
designated and extablished as an industrial district of The
City of Beaumont.
2.
It is hereby declared to be the purpose of The City
of Beaumont to treat with such area from time to time as the
City Council of The City of Beaumont may deem to be in the
best interest of The City of Beaumont and to contract with

The industrial district created and established by
this ordinance, and described herein, shall be known as the
"City of Beaumont Industrial District No. S".
PASSED by the City Council this the 4th day of
February 1969.

EXHIBIT "A"
TRACT N0. 1
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the east line of
the Pelham Humphries Abstract 32 same being the west line
of the J. S. Johnston Survey Abstract 34 with the right de-
scending bank of the Neches River Channel known as McFaddin
Bend Cutoff or U. S. Government Cutoff, said point being a
northwest corner of the Du Pont property and the northeast
corner of Pan American Petroleum Corporation property;
THENCE, following the meandering course of a north line of
the Du Pont property and the right descending bank of the
above said Neches River Channel in a southeasterly direction
to a point in the east line of the J. S. Johnston and a west
line of the William Carroll Survey Abstract 13, said point
being a northeast corner of the Du Pont property and the
northwest corner of adjacent property of Broussard Trust,
et a1;
THENCE, south along a east line of Du Pont property, same
being the common line between said J. S. Johnston and William
Carroll Survey, being also the west property line of the
above said Broussard Trust Tract, passing along the same
course the northmost corner of a tract owned by K.C.S. Rail-
road Company to a southeast corner of the Du Pont property,
same being the northmost corner of the Mary Ann Crary
Anderson tract;
THENCE, in a southwesterly direction along a southeast line
of the Du Pont property and the northwest property line of
the above said Mary Ann Crary Anderson tract to the north-
easterly line of the K.C.S. Railroad Company right of way,
said point being a southeast corner of Du Pont property;
THENCE, northwesterly along the southwesterly line of the Du
Pont property and the northeasterly line of the K.C.S. Rail-
road Company right of way to a point for corner being a south-
west corner of the Du Pont property and a southeast corner of
a tract owned by the K.C.S..Railroad Company;
THENCE, northeasterly along a northwesterly line of the Du
Pont property and the southeasterly property line of the
above said K.C.S. Railroad Company tract past the old McFaddin
Canal No. 2 to the southeast -.corner of Pan American Petroleum
Corporation property;
And continuing in a northeasterly direction along the meandering
course of the property line between Du Pont and Pan American
Petroleum Corporation to the point of beginning.
