AN ORDINANCE,
to be entitled,
"An Ordinance to 'amcnd Art. 371 of Chapter 36 of the Revised
Ordinances of the City I of Beaumont.
ART. 371. PROHIBITING SA ITCHIEG ACROSS ORLP,*TS STREET: --
It shall be unlawful for any locomotive engineer, fireman,
foreman , switchman, . yardm. Lster, conductor, or any other agent or
er_ployee for any railway company, operating or participating in any
manneu in the operation, con.trol,or management of L;-ny lo,comotive
or switch engine or other tri -tin or engine 'o -l' wTiatso ever character,
to switch cars. on any railway in the City of
Beaumont, at any point 'eas�r of-. the West line of Orleans Street;
Switching in this article shall be construed to mean the
pulling up, and backing across, or the backing across and pulling
up, or the doubling of ally cars across the VTest line of Orleans
Street in the City of Bea=nt ;
And it shall be unlawful for any, person mentioned in this
Article in the management 'or con'rol of such trains, as aforesaid,
to Dake up their, said trains and shift and sritcli the cars in the
pyrrparation and making up of such .tr sins at any point cn. their
lines East of the West line of said Orleans Street; or -to -work there
at in any manner, except -fo:, the purpose of carrying their trhou.gh
trains across said. Or1.ea:ns Strect, and for t',Ze further purpose of
carrying cars to and from the different business i nc+-tistr. ies, located
