r AN ORDINANCE
(11 Dixeating:-thc� abandonment of the old Sam Watson burying ground in
South B';eaumont/? anc, rohibiting the use thereof in the future.

BE fTT OPMAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAMAONT
as follows; to -wit:
_.._That the old burying ground in South _Beaumont on the 7-1/2 acre
tract formerly owned by Sam Watson (colored) deceased, and on 12th Street
extended through said 7-1/2 acre tract, be and isehereby abandoned as a
burying place:
That no person or persons shall hereafter use said land aja depository
of human bodies.
That any violation of this ordinance shall be deemed a misdemeanor
and punishable by a fine of not less than $5.00 and not more than $25.00
and Bach day any body of a deceased person is allowed to remain mn said
land, after the passage of this ordinance.shall constitute a separate
offense.
