Entitled an ordinan a owner, tenant,
agent or occupant of any buil"aing within the P Beaumont
to sweep their sidewalks or have them swept 1 certain
time in the morning, and providing a penalty for violation
of same.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:-
Section I: It shall be unlawful for any owner, tenant,
agent or occupant of any building fronting on any street within
the following described territory in the City of Beaumont to
sweep or cause to be swept the sidewalk in front of said building
so occupied between the hours of 7 A.M,, and 9 P.M., of each day:
Beginning at a point where the north line of Mulberry
Street meets the River:
Thence West with the North boundary line of said Street
to the East line of Main Street;
Thence with the east line of Main Street to the inter-
section of the said line and the north line of Calder Avenue;
Thence West on the North line of Calder Avenue to the
intersection of the West line of Magnolia Avenue;
Thence southward on the West line of Magnolia Avenue and
across the railroad yard of the T.& N,O,Railway Company to the
north line of Bonham Street,,
Thence westward on the north line of Bonham. Street to the
West line of Railroad Avenue;

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONTom
Section Io It shall be unlawful for any owner, tenant,
agent or occupant of any building fronting on any street within
the following described territory in the City of Beaumont to
sweep or cause to be swept the sidewalk in front of said building
so occupied between the hours of 7 A.Mo, and 9 P.M., of each day.
Beginning at a point where the north line of Mulberry
Street meets the Rivera
Thence West with the North boundary line of said Street
to the East line of Main Street;
Thence with the east line of Main Street to the inter-
section of the said line and the north line of Calder Avenue;
Thence West on t1ae North line of Calder Avenue to the
intersection of the West line of Magnolia Avenue;
Thence southward on the West line of Magnolia Avenue and
across the railroad yard of the T.& N.O.Railway Company to the
north line of Bonham Street,
Thence westward on the north line of Bonham Street to the
West line of Railroad Avenue;
Thence southward on the West line of Railroad Avenue to
the south line of College Otr ee t;
Thence eastward on the south line of College Street to
the west line of Orleans Street;

Thence southward on the West line of Orleans Street
to the River;
Thence up the River to place of beginning.
Section 2a Any person violating this ordinance shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction in the
Corporation Courts shall be fined in any sura not less than
one dollar nor more than twenty-five dollars.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its passage, approval by the Mayor
and lawful publication.

To be entitled an ordinance, prohibiting the owner,
tenant, or occupant of any building within a certain prescribed
area within the City of Beaumont to sweep their sidewalks or
have them swept at any time of the day or night without first
thorotEhly sprinkling same with water or other substance that
will prevent the raising of, dust during the time of said sweeping,
and providing a penalty for a violation thereof.
