ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A PART OF
THE AREA LOCATED IN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT AS AN
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AS AUTHORIZED BY THE
MUNICIPAL ANNEXATION ACT; PROVIDING THE PUR-
POSE OF SUCH DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING THAT
SUCH DISTRICT SHALL BE KNOWN AS THE "CITY,OF
BEAUMONT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT NO. 811.
WHEREAS, the "Municipal Annexation Act", Article 970a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, authorizes a city to designate
any part of the area located in it's extraterritorial juris-
diction as an industrial district and to contract with the
owners of land in such district guaranteeing the extraterrito-
rial status of such district; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of The City of Beaumont deems
it to be in the best interest of The City of Beaumont to desig-
nate the hereinafter described area an industrial district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:

That the area described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto
and made a part hereof, located within the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of The City of Beaumont is hereby designated and
established as an industrial district of The City of Beaumont.
2.
It is hereby declared to -be the purpose of The City of
Beaumont to treat with such area from time to time as the City
Council of The City of Beaumont may deem to be in the best
interest of The City of Beaumont and to contract with the owners
of land in such industrial district guaranteeing the contin-
uation of the extraterritorial status of such district for a
period of time not to exceed seven (7) years.

The industrial district created and established by
this ordinance, and described herein, shall be known as the
"City of Beaumont Industrial District No. 8".

EXHIBIT "A"
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Olin Mathieson Chemical
Corporation tract, same being in the east right-of-way line
of the Texarkana & Fort Smith Railway Company (KCS) and a
southwest corner of Mobil Oil property, said corner being
in the J. W. Bullock League, A-7, Jefferson County, Texas;
THENCE easterly along the north line of Olin Mathieson
Chemical Corporation tract and a south line of Mobil Oil
property to the west right-of-way line of Southern Pacific
Company (Texas & New Orleans Railway Company), same being the
northeast corner of the Olin Mathieson tract; .
THENCE in a southeasterly direction with the east line of
the Olin Mathieson tract and the west right-of-way of Southern
Pacific Company (Texas & New Orleans Railway Company) to the
east line of the Texarkana &'Fort Smith Railway Company (KCS)
right-of-way;
THENCE in a northwesterly direction along the Texarkana &
Fort Smith Railway Company (KCS) east right-of-way line to
the point of beginning.
