TEXAS, TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDER-
ING THEM TO BE DEMOLISHED WITHIN THIRTY
(30) DAYS OR TO BE DEMOLISHED BY THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT; MAKING FAILURE TO COMPLY A
MISDEMEANOR; AND PROVIDING FOR A LIEN
FOR ANY EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT IN HAVING SAID BUILDING DE-
MOLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section 1.
The City Council of The City of Beaumont, Texas, here-
by finds and declares the buildings located at 2195 Laurel Street,
the same being Lot 6, and 2 of Lot 5, Block 4, Parkdale Addition
in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1887 Plum Street,
the same being Lot 5 and Lot 6, Block 1, Ainsworth Addition in The

City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1345 and 1359 Forrest
Street, the same being Lot 3, Block 9 of Chaison Addition in The
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 780 Chamberlain Drive,
the same being Lot 27, Block 3, Caldwood Acres Addition in The
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 2198 Linson Street,
the same being Lot 6, Block 59, North Addition in The City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 3310 Tallaferro, the same
being Lot 17 and Lot 18, Block 1, Mount Olive Addition in The
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 270 South 13th Street,
the same being Lot 5, Block 15, Van Wormer 2nd Addition in The

of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 592 Hill Street, the same
being the West 66 feet of Lot 6 and Lot 7, Block 1, Johnstone
Addition West in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas;
3155 Cooke Street, the same being Lot 5, Block 5', Forrest Ad-
dition in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1934
Texas Street, the same being Lot 2, Block 11, North Addition
in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, to be a public
nuisance, in that said buildings are, for want of repairs or by
reason of age or dilapidated condition, liable to cause or pro-
mote fires that would endanger persons or property.
Section 2.
In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the
Charter of The City of Beaumont, and Section 13-20 of the Code
of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, it is hereby ordered that the
owner or owners of the buildings located upon the above described
property in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas de-
molish and tear down within thirty (30) days of the date of the
passage of this ordinance, said structures so located on the

above described property; and, if such action is not taken, the
owners of said buildings shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and said buildings shall be demolished and removed at the expense
of The City of Beaumont on the account of the owner thereof; and
such expense shall be assessed as a special tax against the pro-
perty upon which said buildings are situated and a lien shall exist
for such special tax, which lien shall be foreclosed and said ex-
pense be recovered by The City of Beaumont as in the case of any
other debt and lien in favor of The City of Beaumont. /
