ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, AND IN PARTICULAR
TIS BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING DISTRICTS AS INDICATED
UPON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
BEAUMONT, TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF
LOT NINE (9), BLOCK TWO (2), C. E. SMITH'S BEAUMONT
CITRUS FRUIT GARDENS ADDITION, BEING OUT OF THE S.
STIVERS LEAGUE, BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS,
AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, PRESENTLY ZONED "A-1" TO .1.1.I-11?;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:

That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas
and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts as indicated
upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont, referred to in Section
42-9 thereof, is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification
of the following described tract of land, presently zoned "A-1"
Agricultural Residential District to "I-1" Light Industrial District,
to wit:
BEING all of Lot Nine (9) in Block Two (2) from map or plat
of C. E. -Smith's Beaumont Citrus Fruit Gardens Addition to
Jefferson County, Texas, as recorded in the Jefferson
County, Texas, Map Records in Volume 3, page 17, year 1911;
said requested property being a replat of Lots One (1)
through Three (3) in Block Two (2) of the Smith's Sub-
division to Jefferson County, Texas, as recorded in the
Jefferson County Map Records in Volume 1 (Trans.), page 58,
year 1901;
SAID above described property is recorded in the Jefferson
County Deed Records in Volume 1618, page 380 and page 441,
and is out of the S. Stivers League in Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, and contains in area approximately 5 acres
of land, and including one-half (1/2) the widths of all
abutting street and alley rights-of-way.
and the official zoning map of The City of Beaumont is hereby amended
to reflect such changes.
Section 2..
That in all other respects the -use of the property herein-
above described shall be subject to all of the applicable regulations
contained in Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas,
adopted August 19, 1958, effective October 19, 1958, as amended.
.Section 3. ,
That the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be
deemed to be severable, and that if the validity'of the zoning af-
fecting any portion of the property described hereinabove shall be
declared to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the
zoning of the balance of the property described herein.
Section 4.
That any person or corporation violating any of the terms
and provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to the same penalties
provided for in the said Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of
Beaumont, Texas. J
