THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS;
1915 PINE, THE SAME BEING LOT 7, BLOCK 11, OF
THE NORTH ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 896 VERMONT, THE SAME
BEING LOT 12, BLOCK 32, OF THE LAMAR ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS; 3780 WACO, THE SAME BEING TRACT 75,

TEXAS; 1425 FAIRWAY, THE SAME BEING LOT 4,
BLOCK 2, OF THE WOODCREST 2ND ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS;
18.75 PLUM, THE SAME BEING LOT 7, BLOCK 1, OF
THE AINSWORTH ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 1835 PLUM, THE SAME
BE?ING LOT 3, BLOCK 1, OF THE AINSWORTH ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
The City Council of Beaumont, Texas, hereby finds and
declares the buildings located at 1093 Broadway (Rear), the
same being Lots 7 and 8, Block 17, of the Calder Addition to
the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1330 Madison,
the same being Lot 2, Block 13, of the Oakwood Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1915 Pine, the same
being Lot 7, Block 11, of the North Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 896 Vermont, the same being

Lot 12, Block 32, of the Lamar Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 3780 Waco, the same
being Tract 75, Plat B-10, of the J. W. Bullock Survey to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 2205 North 13th,
the same being part of the east one-half (2) of Tract 8, of
the J. B. Langham Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jeffer-
son County, Texas; 7823 Broussard, the same being Tract 181,
Plat R S 5 of the Voth Rosedale Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 702 Isla Street, -the same
being Lot 8, Block 12, of the North Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1425 Fairway, the same
being Lot 4, Block 2, of the Woodcrest 2nd Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1875 Plum, the
same being Lot 7, Block 1, of the Ainsworth Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1835 Plum, the
same being Lot 3, Block 1, of the Ainsworth Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, each to be a public
nuisance in that said buildings are for want of repairs, or by
reason of age or dilapidated condition, liable to cause or
promote fires that would endanger persons or property.
SECTION 2.
In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the
Charter of the City of Beaumont, and Section 13-20 of the Code
of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and Section 103.4 of the
Southern Standard Building Code, the same having been incorporated
by reference into the ordinances of the City of Beaumont by
Section 8-1 of said ordinances, it is hereby ordered that the
owner or owners of the buildings located upon the above-described
property in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
demolish and tear down within thirty (30) days of the date of

the passage of this ordinance, said structures so located on
the above-described property; and, if such action is not taken,
the owners of said buildings shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and said buildings shall be demolished -and removed at
the expense of the City of Beaumont on the account of the owner
thereof; and -such expense shall be assessed as a special tax
against the property upon which said buildings are situated and
a lien shall exist for such special tax, which lien shall be
foreclosed and said expense be recovered by the City of Beaumont
as in the case of any other debt and lien in favor of the City
of Beaumont.
