ARIES OF THE FOUR WARDS OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That from and after the passage of this ordinance the boundaries of
the four wards of The City of Beaumont shall be as follows:
WARD NO. 1 shall consist of all that portion of the
City lying north and east of the following described
lines:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the right descending
bank of the water's edge of the Neches River with the
north right--of--way line of Interstate 10 -East; thence
west along the said north right--of--way. line of Inter-
state 10 --East to its intersection with the centerline
of Brakes Bayou; thence in a southerly direction along
the said centerline of Brakes Bayou to its intersection
with the centerline of said Interstate 10 -East; thence
in a generally westerly direction along the centerline
of said Interstate 10 --'East to its intersection with the
centerline of the Eastex Freeway west of Eleventh
Street; thence in a northerly and northwesterly direction
along the centerline of said -Eastex Freeway (also -known
in part as U. S. Highways 69, 96, 287) to its intersec-
tion with the centerline of State Highway 105; thence
west along the centerline of said State Highway 105 to
the west line of the Daniel Easley League or the west
City Limits line.
WARD NO. 2 shall consist of all that portion of the
City lying between the following described lines:
(a) North and Northeast Boundary: Beginning at the
intersection of the centerline of Brakes Bayou with
the centerline of Interstate 10 -East; thence in a
generally westerly direction along the centerline of
said Interstate 10 --East to its intersection with the
centerline of the Eastex Freeway west of Eleventh Street;
thence in a northerly and northwesterly direction
along the centerline of said Eastex Freeway (also
known in part as U. S. Highways 69, 96, 287) to its
intersection with the centerline of State Highway_.I05;
thence west along the centerline of said State Highway
105 to the west line of the Daniel Easley League or
the west City Limits line.
.(b) Southern Boundary: Beginning at the intersection

of the right descending bank of the wate's edge of the
Neches River and the centerline of Tevis 'Street as es-
tablished through the Original Beaumont Townsite; thence
west along the centerline of said Tevis Street to its
intersection with the centerline of Main Street; thence
in a southeasterly direction along the centerline of said
Main Street to its intersection with the centerline of
Crockett Street; thence in a southwesterly direction along
tine cenzeriine or saia urockett street to its inter
section with the centerline of the Missouri Pacific
Railroad Companyts main line track; thence west
along the centerline of said Missouri Pacific Rail-
road Companyts main line track.'to its intersection
with the centerline of the Southern Pacific Companyts
(Texas and New Orleans Railroad Company). main line
track; thence in a southwesterly direction along the
centerline of said Southern Pacific Companyts main
line track to the east line of the Tyrrell lateral or
the west line of Block 1¢, Gulf Terrace addition,
produced southward, said point being in the west City
Limits line.
WARD NO. 3 shall consist of all that portion of the
City lying between the following described lines:
(a) Northern Boundary: Beginning at the intersection
of the right descending bank of the waterts edge of
the Neches River and the centerline of Tevis Street as
established through the Original Beaumont Townsite;
thence west along the centerline of said .Tevvis.:Street
to its intersection with the centerline of Main Street;
thence in a southeasterly direction along the center-
line of said Main Street to its intersection with the
centerline of Crockett Street; thence in a southwesterly
direction along the centerline of said Crockett Street
to its intersection with the centerline of the Missouri
Pacific Railroad Companyts main line track; thence west
along the centerline of said Missouri Pacific Railroad
Companyts main line track to its intersection with the
centerline of the Southern Pacific Companyts (Texas and
New Orleans Railroad Company) main line track;. thence
in a southwesterly direction along the centerline of
said Southern Pacific-Companyts main line track to the
east line of the Tyrrell lateral or the west line of
"..:.Bldck'-1¢, Gulf Terrace Addition, produced southward,
said point being in::the west City -Limits line.
(b) Southern Boundary: Beginning at the most easterly
corner of the City Limits in the southern boundary line
of the Texarkana & Fort Smith Railway Companyts (Kansas
City Southern Railway) spur track to the Beaumont Sawmill
Company; thence in a westerly direction with the southern
boundary line of said Texarkana & Fort Smith Railway
Companyts track to the eastern right. -of --way line of the
Texarkana & Fort Smith Railway Companyts right of way,
known as the Kansas City Southern Railway Companyts right
of way from Beaumont to Port Arthur; thence southeastward
along said east right-of-way line of the Texarkana & Fort
Smith Railway to a point opposite the centerline of Wash-
ington Boulevard produced eastward; thence westward along
the centerline of Washington Boulevard and its extension
to a point in the centerline of the Gulf, Colorado and
Santa Fe Railway Companyts right of way; thence in a
southwesterly direction along the said centerline of the
Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway Companyts right of
way to its intersection with the centerline of Walden Road;
thence in a northwesterly and westerly direction along
the said centerline of Walden Road to its intersection
with the east line of the Tyrrell lateral or the west line
of Lot $, Block 17, Wescalder Fi.g Acres Subdivision
produced southward, said point also being in the
westerly line of the City Limits.
WARD NO. 4 shall consist of all that portion of the
City lying south and east of the following described
lines:
Beginning at the intersection of the east right -of --way
line of the Texarkana & Fort Smith Railway (known as
the Kansas City Southern Railway Company's right of way
to Port Arthur) and the centerline of Washington Boule-'
vard produced eastward; thence westward along the
centerline of Washington Boulevard and its extension to
a point in the centerline of the Gulf, Colorado and
Santa .Fe Railway Companyts right of way; thence in a
southwesterly direction along the said centerline of the
Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway Company's right of
way to its intersection with the centerline of Walden
Road; thence in a northwesterly and westerly direction
along the said centerline of Walden Road to its inter-
sectio -Li with the west line of the Samuel Stivers League,
said point being the northwest corner of said Samuel
Stivers Leaeue.
