ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT
PORTION OF THE 60 FEET WIDE RUSK STREET DEDICATION
BETWEEN THE WEST LINE OF INTERSTATE 10 --NORTH AND
THE EAST ZINE OF HILLEBRANDT BAYOU DRAINAGE RIGHT
OF WAY, IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That that portion of Rusk Street from the west line of Interstate
10 --North and the east line of Hillebrandt Bayou drainage right of
way, more particularly described as follows:
That portion of the 60 feet wide Rusk Street dedi-
cation lying and being situated between the west
line of Interstate 10 --North and the east line of
Hillebrandt Bayou drainage right of way;
BEING a portion of the 60 feet wide street right of
say in the Noah Tevis Survey which was deeded by
H. B. Funchess, Jr. to The City of Beaumont, Texas,
on June 24, 1946, and which was accepted by resolu-
tion of The City of Beaumont on June 25, 1946; said
deed being recorded in deed records of Jefferson
County, Texas, in Volume 634 at Page 65; said portion
of Rusk Street right of way lying west of Interstate
10 -North and East of Hillebrandt Bayou;
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the west
line of Interstate 10 --North with the south line of
Rusk Street;
THENCE West along the south line of the 60 feet wide
Rusk Street for a distance of approximately 1318
feet to point in the east line of Hillebrandt Bayou;
THENCE in a northwesterly direction along the east
line of Hillebrandt Bayou to point of intersection
with north line of Rusk Street;
THENCE.East along north line of 60 feet wide Rusk
Street for a distance of approximately 1330 feet to
point in the west line of Interstate 10 --North;
THENCE South along west line of Interstate 10 --North
for a distance of 60 feet to the point of beginning,
containing in area 1.824 acres of land, more or less;
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title
to 'such vacated and abandoned property shall revert to and become
the property of the persons entitled thereto, as provided by law;
and The City of Beaumont hereby relinquishes any and all right:.
title and interest it had or might have had in and to such property.
