OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO -EXECUTE
FOR AND ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY A DEED OF DEDI-
CATION, DEDICATING CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR THE
OPENING OF CEDAR STREET FOR A DISTANCE OF
399.7 FEET WEST OF FOURTH STREET, TO BE USED BY
THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR STREET PURPOSES°
WHEREAS, under its street improvement and opening pro-
gram, The City of Beaumont is opening Cedar Street for a dis-
tance of 399.7 feet West of Fourth Street; and,
WHEREAS, the City owns certain property along the right
of way being acquired for such street opening, and it is necessary
and desirable that such property be dedicated for street purposes
for the use and benefit of the general public, the description of
said property being as follows:
Being a'tract of land in the Noah Tevis Survey,
Beaumont, Jefferson County,.Texas, sixty (60) feet
in width, extending from the West line of Fourth
Street, as now established,West three hundred ninety-
nine and seven tenths (399.7) feet, the South line of
said tract being the North line of a certain 2.319
acre tract owned by the Enterprise Company and being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the present West line of
Fourth Street that lies South Zero degree 25 min-
utes West five hundred sixty-seven and seventy-
eight hundredths (567.78) feet from the intersection
of the present West line of Fourth Street and the
South line of the .Southern Pacific Railroad Company
right of way:
Thence South Zero degree 25 minutes West along the
said present West line of Fourth Street sixty and
one hundredth (60.01) feet to corner, said corner
being the Northeast corner of that certain 2.319
acre tract conveyed by B. M. Jackson, et al to the
Enterprise Company by deed dated April 13, 1957,
and recorded in Volume 1064, at page 206 of the
Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas;
Thence South 89 degrees 41 minutes West along the
North line of said 2.319 acre tract three hundred
ninety-nine and seven tenths (399.7) feet to corner,
same being the present East fence line of Sampson
Iron and Supply Company;
Thence North Zero degree 25 minutes East along a
line parallel with and three hundred ninety-nine

and seven tenths (399.7) feet distant from the said
West line of Fourth Street and along the presently
existing iron fence of Sampson Iron and Supply
Company sixty and one hundred (60.01) feet to
corner;
Thence North 89 degrees 41 minutes East three hun-
dred ninety-nine and seven tenths (399.7) feet to
the place of beginning.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
That Jack M. Moore, Mayor of The City of Beaumont, be, and he is
hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City a deed of
dedication, dedicating for the use and benefit of the general
public for street purposes the property hereinabove described,
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said instru-
ment and to affix the seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
