ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, AND IN
PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING DISTRICTS
AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS,.BY CHANGING THE
CLASSIFICATION OF PART OF LOT 45 OF THE FRENCH
HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION.IN THE A..WILLIAMS SURVEY IN
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
DESCRIBED HEREIN, PRESENTLY ZONED 11R-111, to ttc.„11t;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas, and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts
as indicated upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont, referr-1
ed to in Section 42-9 thereof, is hereby amended .by c_hang'ing the
zoning classification of the following described tract of land,
presently zoned 11R--141, Single --Family Dwelling District, to 11C --11t,
11Neighborhood Commercial District, to-w.it:--
BEING part of Lot or Tract 45 of the French Heights Sub-
division (Block 6) in the.A. Williams Survey in the City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, more fully describ-
ed as follows: --
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the West line
of Haden Road and the Northerly right -of. -way line of
Eastex Freeway (North 11th Street or U. S. Highway 69-
96-287);
THENCE North 00° 031 East along the West line of Haden
Road for a distance of.347.60 feet to common corner of
Tracts 45 and 44;
THENCE South 890 331 West along the common line of
Tracts 45 and 44 for a distance of 399.70 feet;
THENCE South 000 031 West along the West Iside of Tract
45 for a distance of 63.29 feet to point in the Northerly
right-of-way line of Eastex Freeway;
THENCE along the Northerly right-of-way line of Eastex
Freeway with the following courses:
1. South 490 211 3611 East, 283.87 feet;
2. South 410'181 "East, 131.99 feet;
3. South 88° 151 0611 'East, 97.90 feet;
to the point of beginning, containing in area 2.14,acres
of land, more or less; and also including one-half of
the width of all bounding street rights of way;
and the official Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont is hereby amend-
