HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 67 GGORDINANCE NO. 1 ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, AND IN PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING DISTRICTS AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT',.TEXAS., BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF 14.,5 ACRES IN THE F..BIGNER SUR- VEY, IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, PRESENTLY ZONED ITR--ltt, TO 11R --21T; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVID- ING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF B-EAUMONT,TEXAS: Section 1. That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts as indicated upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont, ref err- ed to in Section 42..9 thereof, is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification -of the following described tract of land, presently zoned "R-111, Single --Family Dwelling District, to ITR -21t, Two -Family and Multiple Dwelling District, to -wit:. - BEING 14.5 acres out of the V. ,A. Collier Subdivi- sion out of the F. B.igner Survey, Jefferson County, - Texas; and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: -- BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the intersec- tion of Collier Road and Crow Road; THENCE South 021 OOT. East for a distance of 230 feet along the East line of Grow Road to the point of beginning; THENCE East for a distance of 1,$22.22 feet to a point for corner in the West right-of-way line of Treadway Road; THENCE South 320 OOT West for a distance of 313.88 feet along the -West right. -of --way line of Treadway Road.to a pont:for corner; THENCE South 420 OOT West for a distance of 294.44 feet along the West right-of-way line of Treadway Road to a point for corner; THENCE West for a distance of 1.,144.44 feet to,a point for corner in the East right--of-way line of Crow Road; THENCE North 020, OOT West for a distance of 469.44 feet to the place of beginning; and also including one --half of the widths of a11bounding street rights of way; i n i 7 ' and the official Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont is hereby amend- ed to reflect such change. Section 2. That.in all other respects.the use of the property herein- above described shall be subject. to all of the applicable regula- tions contained in Chapter -42 of'the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, . adopted. August 19, 1958, �effecti.ve October 19, 1958, as amended. Section 3.1 That.the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed to be severable,, and that if the,vali.dity of the zoning affecting any portion of the property described hereinabove shall be declared to be invalid.,.the same shall not affect the validity. of the zoning of the balance of the property described herein. Section 4.
