J ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES .OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, AND IN PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE'ZONING DISTRICTS AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAU- MONT, TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATIONS OF 631.77 ACRES OF LAND IN THE DAVID BROWN AND CHARLES WILLIAMS SURVEYS IN THE CITY OF BEA.UMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING BOUNDED ON,THE NORTH BY THE CENTERLINE OF COLLEGE STREET,.ON THE EAST BY THE.CENTERLINE OF HILI,E- BRANDT BAYOU, ON THE SOUTH BY THE CENTERLINE OF WASH3NG= TON BOULEVARD, AND. ON THE WEST BY THE EAST LINE OF CALDWOOD CUT-OFF DRAINAGE DITCH;,AND BEING COMPRISED OF FOUR (4) AREAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY.OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: Section 1. That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts as indicated upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont, referred to in Section 42-9 thereof, is hereby amended by changing the zoning classifications of the following tracts of land, as follows: tiBEING a 631.77 acre tract of land in -the David Brown and Charles Williams Surveys in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, and being bounded on the North by the centerline of College Street, on the East by the centerline of Hillebrandt Bayou, on the South by the centerline'of Washington Boulevard, and'on the West by the East line of Caldwood Cut -.off Drainage Ditch; and being comprised of four (4) areas which are more parti- cularly described as follows: AREA NO. 1. That in all other respects the use of the property hereinabove described shall be subject to all of the applicable regulations con- tained in Chapter ¢2 of the -Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, adopted august 19, 1958, effective October 19, 1958, as amended. Section 3. That the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of the zoning affect- ing any portion of the property described hereinabove shall be de- clared to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the zoning of the balance of the property described herein. That any person or corporation violating any of the terms or provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to the same penalties provided for in the said Chapter ¢2 of the Code of Ordi- nances of Beaumont, Texas.
