ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A QUITCLAIM DEED TO EL MONTE ENTERPRISES-,
A PARTNERSHIP, OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, QUITCLAIMING ANY INTEREST THE CITY HAS
TO A TRACT OF -LAND, AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
THE INTERSECTION.OF 11TH STREET AND WASHINGTON
BLVD.; MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN; IN
EXCHANGE FOR A TRACT OF LAND FROM EL MONTE
ENTERPRISES, TO THE CITY.OF BEAUMONT, SAID
TRACT BEING OUT OF LOT 11, BLOCK 3, .CARVER
TERRACE SUBDIVISION, J. W. BULLOCK SURVEY,
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY;, TEXAS,
BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN .
WHEREAS, The City is interested in.'realigning and improving
that property for street purposes in the vicinity of Washington
Blvd. at 11th Street, same involving an exchange of property with
E1 Monte Enterprises; and
WHEREAS, E1 Monte Enterprises, a partnership; is now requesting
the City to quitclaim a tract of land hereinafter described in
exchange for a warranty deed from El Monte Enterprises to a tract
of land, the City has need of for street and utility purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE.CITY OF
BEAUMONT; TEXAS:
That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of The City of Beaumont, a quitclaim deed to E1 Monte
Enterprises, a partnership in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
the following described property:
BEING a triangular shaped tract of land located at the
southeast corner of the intersection of 11th Street
and Washington Blvd. and being presently part of.the
right of way of the said streets at the northwest corner
of Block 3, Carver Terrace Subdivision in the J. W.
Bullock Survey, Beaumont, -Jefferson County, Texas, said
triangular shaped trac.t.of land being -more fully
described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin in the east line of the 11th
Street one hundred twenty foot (120') right of way, said
pin being a distance of nine and fifty one -hundredths
feet (9.50') north of the southwest corner of Lot 11,
Block 3, Carver Terrace Subdivision, City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas;

THENCE in a Northeasterly direction along the
arc of a seventy foot (70') radius curve to the
right, said curve being the existing east line -of
the 11th Street right of way at Washington Blvd.
a distance of fifty-five and sixty-nine one -
hundredths feet (55.69') to'a point.for corner,
said point being twenty feet (20') south of the
westerly extension of the south line of Washington
Blvd.
THENCE North 89059' West alonga line which is twenty
feet (20') away from and -parallel -to the westerly -extension
of -the existing south line of the Washington Blvd.,
a distance of'twenty-one'feet (21') to a point for
corner, said point being in the northwesterly extension
of the east line of 11th Street;
THENCE in a Southerly direction along the northerly
extension of the east right of way line of the 11th
Street one hundred twenty foot (120') right of way
a distance of fifty feet (50') to the place of
beginning, containing an area of seven one -thousandths
(0.007) of an acre, more or less.
and, the deed as tendered by El Monte Enterprises, to The City of
Beaumont,.in exchange for the above described property be, and
the same is hereby, accepted in all things.
