ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THE
EAST -WEST ALLEY IN BLOCK 76 OF PINECREST ADDITION
,TO -THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN; PRO--
VIDING THAT SUCH ABANDONMENT SHALL IN NO WAY AFFECT
AN EASEMENT FOR WATER, SANITARY SEWER, AND GAS LINE
PURPOSES, DATED JULY 14, 1963, AS SET FORTH HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That the following described East. -West alley in Block 76 ofPine--
crest Addition to The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas.,
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title
to said alley shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto, as provided by law, said alley being described as
follows:
Being a twenty foot (20t) wide alley running East
and West in Block 76 of the Pinecrest Addition to
The City of Beaumont, Texas; and extending from the
East line of Steelton,Avenue to the West line of
Coatsville Avenue, a distance of 300 feet; and said
alley being abutted by the following lots: Lot 1A,
1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B; 4A, 4B, 5A, 5B, 6A, 6B, 7, 10A,
10B, 11A, 11B, 12A, 12B, and the tract of land being
the former North-South 20 -foot gide alley closed and
abandoned by Ordinance of The City of Beaumont, Texas,
on February 4, 1958, recorded in Volume 362, page 9,
of the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas;
provided, however, that the vacating and abandoning of said alley
shall not be construed as abandoning, and shall not affect, the ease-»
ment.for watet:;.�•sanitary sewer, and gas line -purposes granted to
The City -of Beaumont in said alley, on.July 14, 1963, -by TheN®rth
End Baptist Church3 of Beaumont; the rights granted in said easement
for water, sanitary sewer, and gas line purposes being expressly
reserved.
