ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING. CHAPTER 42 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES..OF BEAUMONT: TEXAS: AND IN
PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE .ZONING DISTRICTS
AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT REFERRED TO IN SECTION 42..9 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT,, TEXAS,,, BY CHANGING THE
CLASSIFICATION OF THAT PORTION -0F BLOCK 2: PRATER
ADDITIONy A. WILLIAMS SURVEY., BEAUMONT: JEFFERSON
COUNTY,, TEXAS: WHICH LIES ON THE NORTH OR NORTH--
EAST SIDE OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD TRACK.
CENTERLINE: AND ONE HALF OF BOUNDING STREETS: DE-
SCRIBED HEREIN: PRESENTLY ZONED 11C•-1111 TO "I -11r;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;.AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED.BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Chapter 42. of the. Code of Ordinances of Beaumont:
Texas: and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts
as indicated upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont: referred
to, in Section .42--9 thereof: is hereby amended by changing .the zon-
ing classification of the following described property: presently
zoned "C. -11i: Neighborhood Co'MM ercial Districts to ttI_ltt: Light
Industrial.Di.strict., to wit:
BEING that portion of Block 2., Prater Addition., A.
Williams Survey., Beaumont., Jefferson County., Texas.,
which lies on the North or Northeast side,of the
Southern Pacific Railroad Track Centerlines and one
half of bounding streets,, described as follows:
BEGINNING at intersection of centerline of Dollin.-
ger Road with extension of East line of Block 2;
THENCE South 150 30t,East along the East line of
Block 2 for a distance of 322.2 feet to point in
centerline of said railroad track;
THENCE Northwestward along centerline of said rail-
road track for a distance of 477.4 feet to point in
centerline of fifty --foot (SOt.) wide Ninth Street;
THENCE North 15° 301 West along the centerline of
Ninth Street for distance of 89.6 feet to point in
centerline of Dollinger Roads fifty. -foot (501) wide
road;
THENCE North 77° 301 East along ;centerline of Dol --
linger Road for a .distance- of 405.0 feet to place
of beginning;
CONTAINING in area 1.91 acres of lands more or less;
and the said official Zoning Map of The City of'Bea.umont is hereby
amended to reflect such.change.
Section 2.
That in all other respects the use of the property herein-
above described shall be subject to all of the applicable regula-
tions.contained in Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont
Texas., adopted ,august 19y 19589 effective October 19y 1958., as.
amended.
Section 3.
That the terms and provisions.'of this ordinance shall be.
deemed to be severable,:and that if the validity of the zoning
affecting any portion of the property described hereinabove shall
be declared to.be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity
of'the zoning of the balance of the property described herein.
Section 4.
That any person -or corporation violating any of the terms
and provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to the same pen-
alties provided for in the said Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances
of Beaumont,, Texas.
