ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT., TEXAS,
AND IN PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING
DISTRICTS AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING MAP
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT; TEXAS,
BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF A PART OF
THE F. BIGNER SURVEY, CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON
COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, PRESENTLY
ZONED "R-1" AND "C-1" TO "C-1"; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS.
Sectinn 1.
That Chapter 42 ,of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas, and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts
as indicated'upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont,
referred to in Section 42-9 thereof, is hereby amended by
changing the zoning classification of the following described
tract of land; presently zoned "R-1" Single-family Dwelling
District and'"C-1"Neighborhood Commercial District to 11C=1"
Neighborhood Commercial..District, to wit:
A part of the F. Bigner Survey and being
part of the property.lying south of U. S.
Highway No.. 69,96'and 287, east of Crow
Road and north of Odom Road,described as
follows:-
BEGINNING-at
ollows:
BEGINNING at the center line of Crow Road
40 foot right of way at its intersection
with the center lim of Odom Road 40 foot
right of way;
THENCE North with.the center line of Crow
Road'to its intersection with the center
line of U. S._ Highways No. 69,96 and 287;
THENCE Southeasterly with the center line
of said U. S. Highway to the intersection
of the center line of Odom Road;
THENCE Westerly along the center line of .
Odom Road to place of beginning, containing
10 acres of land more or less. .

and the official zoning map of The City of Beaumont is hereby
amended to reflect such changes.
Section 2.
That in all .other respects the use of the property hereinabove
described shall be subject to all of the applicable regulations
contained in Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas, adopted August 19, 1958, effective October 19, 1958)
as amended.
Section 3.
That the -terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be
deemed to,be severable, and that if the validity of the zoning
affecting any portion of the property described hereinabove shall
be declared to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity
of the zoning of .the balance of the property described herein.
Section 4.
That any person or -corporation violating any of the terms
and provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to the same
penalties provided for in the said Chapter 42 of the Code of
Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
