HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1 I IENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PART OF THE ALLEY RUNNING EAST AND WEST BETWEEN THIRD AND FOURTH STREETS, IN BLOCK 2 OF THE PARKDALE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: That a part of the alley located in Block 2 of the Parkdale Addition to The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, said part of the alley being described as follows: A part of one (1) dedicated twenty (20') foot alley running east and west between Fourth Street and the abandoned Third Street right of way in Block 2 of the Parkdale Addition to The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the -southwest corner of Lot 5, Block 2 of the Parkdale Addition to The. City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; THENCE in an eastward direction along a line to a point, said point being the southeast corner of Lot 4, Block 2 of said addition, said line being the rear or most southerly line of Lots 5 and 4 of Block 2 of said addition and the most northerly "right of way line of the alley herein described; THENCE in a southerly direction for-.n.a dis.tanee nfetwenty (20') feet to the northeast corner of Lot 9, Block 2 of said addition for point, said point being in the most southerly right of way line of the twenty (20') foot alley herein described; THENCE in a westward direction along a line to the northwest corner of Lot 8, Block 2 of said addition, said line being the rear or most northerly line of Lots 8 and 9 of Block 2 of said addition and the most southerly right of way line of the alley herein described; THENCE in a northerly direction for a distance of twenty (20') feet to the place of beginning said point being the southwest corner of Lot 5, Block 2 of the Parkdale Addition to The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas. Provided, however, that the vacating and abandoning of said part of said alley shall not be construed as abandoning and shall in no way affect the easement for general utility purposes granted on' !�tAi, jy, `�-�% , 1967, by Ideco Division of Dresser Industries, Inc., to The City of Beaumont across property in the P arkdale Addition to The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; the rights granted in said easement for general utility purposes being expressly reserved.
