PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGING, EXPLODING, USING OR SETT-
ING -OFF OF ANY CHARACTER OR KIND OF FIREWORKS, CANNON CRACKERS,
TOY PISTOLS, TOY GUNS, TOY CANNONS, DETONATING CANES, BLANK
CARTRIDGES, TORPEDOES, ROMAN CANDLES, SKY ROCKETS, FIRE CRACKERS
OF ANY SIZE AND KIND, AND ANY SUBSTANCE OF AN EXPLOSIVE NATURE
AND DEVICE, OR ANY OTHER PYROTECHNIC, ON OR ACROSS ANY PUBLIC
STREET, ALLEY, SQUARE, PARK OR OTHER PUBLIC PROPERTY OR WITHIN
ONE HUNDRED (100) YARDS OF ANY BUSINESS HOUSE; PROVIDING A
PENALTY, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
NOW.. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUP70NT,TEXAS
Section 1.
It shall hereafter be, unlawful for any person to dis-
charge., explode, use or set-off any character or kind of fire-
works, cannon crackers, toy pistols, toy guns, toy cannons,
detonating canes, blank cartridges, torpedoes;., Roman candles,
sky rockets, fire crackers of any size and kind, and any sub-
stance of an explosive nature and device, or any other pyro-
technic, on or across any public street, alley, square, park,
or other public property, or within one hundred (100) yards of
any business house in the City of Beaumont.
Section 2.

That any person wilfully violating any provision of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceed-
ing Two Hundred (200.00) Dollars. Each separate act in
violation of this ordinance shall constitute a separate
offense.
Section 3.
That Articles 989 and 990 of the Revised Code of
Ordinances of February 7, A. D. 1911, codified by McDowell
and Davidson, be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4.
That all ordinances in conflict herewith are here-
by repealed.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the
City Commission, this the 10 4day of Pte, A. D. 1938.
