AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND1ICLOSING OF THE
ALLEY RUNNING EAST AND WEST IN BLOCK TWO (2) PARK
PLACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT.
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by B. E. Quinn,
owner of Lots 1, 20 3 and 4, 0. B. Archer, owner of Lot No.
7, Jos. J. Vincent, Jr., owner of Lot No. 8, Geo. A. Barngrover
Trust Estate, George A. Barngrover, A. J. Hartel, Jr., and
David E. O'Fiel, Trustees, owner of Lot 9, T. V. Wilson, owner
of Lot 10, J. W. McCuistion, owner of Lot 110 W. L. Farmer,
owner of Lot 12, and W. J. Philp, Kelley Tipton, John E. Gray,
H. P. McGrew, J. S. Matheny, Trustees of South Park Methodist
Church 0 owner of Lots 5 and 6, owners of all the property
located in Block 2 of the Park Place Addition of the City of
Beaumont, abutting on said alley, has been presented to the
City Commission of the City of Beaumont, requesting that the
said alley be vacated and closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the alley running East and West located in Block
Two (2) of the Park Place Addition to the City of Beaumont be,
and the same is hereby authorized to be vacated and closed, and
that the title to such alley shall revert to and become the property
of the respective owners of the land in said block..bordering on
said alley, as provided by law; provided, however, that the
closing of this alley shall in no way affect the rights of the
City as to placing and maintaining therein any sewer or water
lines, or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles,
or cables, or any other service or utility of the City, or
the right to grant franchises to person or corporations.to
place and maintain therein any sewer or water lines, or telephone,
telegraph, or electric lines, w fres, poles or cables, or any
other service or utility of the City, all of which rights are
hereby reserved.
