Entitled an ordinance prohibiting the washing of
windows between the hours of 'g A. M. and 7 P. M. within a
certain area in the City of Beaumont and providing a penalty
for violation thereof in the Corporation Court of said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COTJMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That it shall hereafter be unlawful for any person
to wash or cause to be washed any window abutting upon a
public sidewalk between the hours of 9 A. M. and 7 P. M.
within the following described territory in the City of
Beaumont.
Beginning at the point where Park Street
intersects Gilbert Street, thencg Northeast
three (3) blocks along Gilbert Street to the point
where Gilbert Street intersects train Street, thence
Northwest eight (8) blocks to the point where Main
Street meets Calder Avenue, thence West two (2)
blocks tot he point where Calder Avenue intersects
Willow Street, thence South three (3) blocks with
Willow Street to Laurel Avenue, thence East
on Laurel Avenue and across the Texas and New
Orleans Railroad Company right-of-way to the
point where Laurel Avenue meets Park Street, thence
So_utheas-t- six (6) blocks on Park Street to the
point of its intersection with Gilbert Street,
place of beginning.
The above description is to be construed and inter-
preted so as to include all property located on either side of
the above described streets as well as all property included
within the area enclosed.
Section 2.
Every person, association of persons, or corporation,
either the owner, lessee, or agent of any property included
within the above description, who shall wash or cause to be �I

washed any window within said area between the hours of 9 A. M.
and 7 P. M. shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be punished for each offense by
fine, in any sum of money, not less that One ($1.00) Dollar
or more than One Hundred (0100.00) Dollars.
