ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE LIMITED
PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING AND IvAINTAINING WARE-
HOUSES OR OTHER FACILITIES OR AIDS TO NAVIGATION;
PROVIDING FOR EXTENSION TO AN AREA CONTIGUOUS
TO THE GENERAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
AND SITUATED WITHIN A DISTANCE OF LESS THAN
2500 FEET FROM THE THREAD OF THE STREAM OF THE
NECHES RIVER AND BEING LOCATED IN THE VICINITY
OF THE INTERSECTION OF BUFORD AND CARROLL
STREETS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section la
That the limits of the City of Beaumont
be extended for the limited purpose of establishing
and maintaining warehouses and other facilities or
aids to navigation to cover an area contiguous to the
general limits of the City of Beaumont and wholly
situated within a distance of less than twenty-five
hundred (25001) feet from the thread of the stream of
the Neches River, a navigable waterway, said area being
more specifically described as follows:
Beginning at a monument in the center
line of Buford and Carroll Streets, and on the
present City limit line;
Thence East with the center line of
Buford Street extended, 602 feet to corner;
Thence South 1010 feet to a stake
for corner;
Thence West 616.94 feet to a point in
;tree center line of Carroll Street;
Thence North two degrees and fifty
seven minutes East 290.29 feet to an angle
Point in the center of Carroll Street;
Thence North with said center line
720 feet to the place of beginning.

Section 2.
The fact that the above described area is a
part of the public lands owned by the City of Beaumont,
and unless said area is taken within the limits of the
City of Beaumont, said property will not be immediately
improved and therefore for the protection of the value
of public property an emergency is created necessitating
the suspension of the rule requiring ordinances to be
read on three several days before their passage, said
rule is therefore hereby suspended, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its
lawful passage.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members
of the City Commission, this theday of ,

Section 1.
That the limits of the City of Beaumont

Buford Street 6021 East of the center line of
Carroll Street;
Thence East with -the center line of Buford
Street 224 feet;
Thence South 1309 feet;
Thence West 85.6.33 feet to the center line
of Carroll Street;
Thence North 2 deg. 571 East 299.40 feet
to a point;
Thence East 616.94 feet to a point;
Thence North 1010 feet to the place of
beginning.

Section 2.
