GRAN`T'ING TO THE TEXAS & NEW ORLEANS RAILROAD COMPANY A FRANCHISE
TO EXTEND THE SIDE TRACK ACROSS TRAVIS STREET ON SOUTH SIDE OF
ITS PRESENT MAIN LINE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Beaumont:
SECTION 1.
That the Texas & New Orleans Railroad Company be,
and it is hereby granted the right and privilege to extend the
present spur track on the south side of its main line and which is
situated next .to and adjoining the property of the Beaumont Ice
Light & Refrigerating Company in a westerly direction parallel
with its present main line across Travis Street on the south side
of said present main line.
SECTION II.
That if- saj4 Texas & New Orleans Railroad Company
exercises the privilege herein granted it shall restore said Tra:-
vis._'Street at the point'Agre this said track will cross the same
to ."it•s",former condition- a-s� nearly as practicable and will so
maintain said crossing as'Flong as said track occupies said street.
:,.'SFCTION III.
That if said street is paved in the future along
where said railroad track crosses same, said railroad company
shall pay its pro rata of the expense of such paving and maintain-
ing as provided by the charter and ordinances of the City of Beau-
mont.
SECTION IV.
BE IT_ ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Beaumont:

mont.
SECTION IV.
Be it further ordained that this ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon its passage.
