ALLEY RUNNING EAST AND ITFEST IN NORTH SIDE OF BLOCK
FORTY-ONE (41) OF THE ARLINGTON ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by W. L. Herm,
owner of Lot 10; R. D. Maxwell, owner of Lot 8; John S.
Yost, owner of Lot 11; J. W. Baird, owner -of West 1/2
Lot 18; Joe and Emma A. Frank, owners Lot 17; A. E.
Corder; owner East 1/2 Lot 18; Mrs. Estella Schingler,
owner of Lot 16; Chas. Sciachitano, owner of Lots 12 and
13; Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Krebs, owners of Lots 14 and 15;
V. 0. Holst, owner of Lot 19, and Mr. and Mrs. R. H.
Henckel, owner of Lot 9, owners of all the property
located in Block Forty-one (41) of the Arlington Addition
to the City of Beaumont, abutting on said alley, has been
presented to the City Commission of the City of Beaumont
requesting that the said alley be vacated and closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMIXISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEATXONT:
That the alley running East and West in the North
side of Block Forty-one (41) of the Arlington Addition to
the City of Beaumont be, and the same is hereby authorized
to be vacated and closed and that the title to such alley
shall revert to and become the property of the respective
owners of the land in said block bordering on said alley, as
provided by law; provided, however, that the closing of
this alley shall in no way affect the rights of the City
as to placing and maintaining therein any sewer or water
lines, or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires,
poles or cables, or any other service or utility of the City,
or the right to grant franchises to persons or corporations
to place and maintain therein any such sewer or water
lines, or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires,
poles or cables, or any other service or utility of the
City, all of which rights are hereby reserved.
