AIS ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE SALE OF RAILROAD TICFI S OR CONTRACTS
OF TRANSPORTATION BY RAILROAD TICKET BROKERS OR OTHER PERSONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TILE CITY COMTCIL OF BEAUMONT, `I'EFtiAS.
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or- persons,=: -------- ----____,_,1
firm or corporation or any officer, agent or servant of any corpo-
ration for and in its behalfnow or hereafter engaged in the business
of Railroad Ticket Brokers or any other person or persons, with or
without license therefor in Beaumont, Texas, to sell any railroad
ticket carr�Tin_g a provision that it is non -transferable or railroad
ticket or -contract of transportation which at the time of the sale
thereof, they shall knout cannot be used by the purchaser thereof
without such purchaser being obliged and compelled to impersonate
upon_ the train or other means of conveyance another person, or which
at such time they shall know cannot be used by the purchaser thereof
without such purchaser being obliged and compelled to falsely and
fraudulently sign or subscribe thereto, or thereon, or to any other
instrument o.f writing so connected therewith as to be necessary to
the use thereof, the signature of another person, and tAihich ticket
shall be void in the hands of the purchaser thereof. Any one vio-
lating the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be
fined not less than $25.00, nor more than $100.00 for each and
every offence.
Section 2. Any person or persons, firm or corporation now or
hereafter engaged in and conducting the business of ticket prockers,
shall be required to give a certificate to each and every purchaser_
of a railroad ticltet, or tickets, or other contract or contracts
of transportation stating the date upon which such ticket or tickets,
or contract or contracts of transportation was sold, the starting

Section 2. Any person or persons, firm or corporation now or
hereafter engaged in and conducting the business of ticket prockers,

or contract or contracts of transportation was sold, the starting
point and destination provided for by the same and the amount paid
therefor, and such certificates shall be signed by such person or
persons, firm or corporation_, or by someone in their respective
offices, For and in their behalf.
The Signing herein_ required may be done by stamp. Anyone viola"ing I
the provi sioi_s of this section shalls upon conviction, be fined not;
less than: $25.00- nor more than $100.00 for each and every offense.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and �
after its passage: and publication.
