therein during performances.
Sec. 1: Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Beaumont that it shall be unlawful for any person or corporation to
open and give performances at any theatre in the City of Beaumont
on and during any Sunday, ;provided; however, that aiV performance
which has c omenc ed .not later than eight o'clock P. M. on. Saturday
may be continued until the completion thereof; but in no event to
continue later than one o'clock A. M. of said night.
Sec. 2:; That it shall be unlawful for any person or persons
in the audience, by 1 ud and bo st�ous talking, or by whistling, sing-
ing, yelling, in any othe. manner, whatsoever, to disturb the quiet
of the audience, or any person therein, or to interrupt the performance
in any such theatre..
Sec. 3: Thatit shall be unlawful for any person of either

any time during the actual performance on the stage at any such thea-
tre;- provided that- nothing in this section shall prohibit any female
from wearing a small nubia, fascinator, or other similar article on
her head, such as will'not obstruct or interfere with the view of
the stage by others seated back of such female.
Sec. 4: That any person violating any 'of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on con-
viction shall be fined in a sum 'not less than Five nor more than Twen-
ty-five Dollars?' _7��.,
Sec. 5: That this ordinance takes effect from and after its
passage, and that all 'ordinances, or parts of ordinances in conflict ^ l
