Beaumont does hereby eontrac�wlth---and grant to J. W* Swayne,Trustee,
with power to convey and assign it to a Corporation._ or asso.clation_ of
persons and to its successors and assigns for.the period of fifty years
the franchise and rights of way, priviloge and easement over Rail Road
Avenue, Sabine Pass Avenue, Park Street and College Street and the al-
leys contiguous to them and all other streets and alleys in the City
of Beaumont, Texas, -and the right to construct, lay -and maintain pipes
,,-,=d-tanka- of any size and description found necessary forthe purpose
of convoying and.-----vt,crM oil or gas from any oil or gas well for market
as they may see proper to and through the, City of Beaumont to be Uised
gor any and all purposes to which gas and oil can be'used or applied._

Trustee, and his suecessors and assigns shall have the ri ght to use
any and all of the streets and alloys and public groundsof the City of
Beaumont within its present corporate limits, and all additions that ma
be hereafter taken into the City limits for the purpose of laying
pipes for the conveyance of gas and oil for the full period -of fifty
years, with the right of renewal at the end. -of that tine,

have laidinto any factories, business houses of all descriptions;
and of whatever kind of,private houses he or they -may see proper for-

Sec.5. That all pipes. of any kind, and every description laid ,hal
be done under the -direction and supervision of theChiarnan of the
Street and Bridge Committee, and that said pipes shall be laid in all
instances so as to preserv6 Street grades according to the.0rdinancas
o f - the- City.

granting a franchise and right of way and easement to J.W,Swayne,Trustee,
