ation and levying the s.11ie for the year 19031, and apportion-
ing the taxes levied and assessed to create the interest

of the City of Beautmont:
SECTION I. That th�rate of taxation for the year 1903
shall be as follows; -'I-,o wit: -
For general ad valorem purposes forty cents on each One
Hundred Dollars valuation of all taxable property within the
corporate limits of the City of Beaumont, subject to taxation.
For street and bridge twenty cents on ee�.ch $100.00 valua-
tion of all taxable propoa�ty within -the corporate limits of
the City of Beaumont, subject to taxation.
For public free s'hhools Twenty-five centa on. each '100.00
valuation of all taxable property within the corporate lim-
its of the City of Beaumont, subject to taxation.
To create the interest and sinking flared to pay the outstand-
ing
utstand-
ing bonded indebtedness of the City, fifty cents on each
$100.00 valuation of all the taxable property within the
corporate ltaits of the City of Beaumont.. subj ect to taxation.
Theme is hereby levied on all occupations taxable by the
laws of the State of Texas, a sum equal to one-half the amount
levied and collected by the State of Texeas, for said occupa-
tions. o
SECTION II, That the above a-, d foregoing. rate of taxa-
tion is hereby levied for the year 1902, and is hereby assess-
ed and ordered collected for the year 1003.
SECTION III. That the above tax of f2ty cents on each 11100,
valuation on taxable property within the corporate limits of
the City of Beaumont, subject to taxation, to create an inter-
est and sinking fund to pay the outstanding bonded indebtednes,
