AN OBDINANCE GRAJWING TO TEXAS 80 NEW ORLEANS RAILROAD CO.
A FR-NCNISF TO LAY WATER PIPE -MMFR AND ACROSS CERTAIN STRF TS.
Be it ordained --by- the --C-ity.-Counc-i-1 of- the City- of Beaumont.
Sec. 1.
The Texas and New Orleans Railroad Compares is hereby granted
the right and privilege to constructa pumping station on its right of
way near Neches River and lay a ripe line along its right of way from
Neches River to its yards in the west side of -the City, crossing Tevis,
Cypress, Travis, Main, Pearl,* Crockett and Orleans Streets..
Sec.. 2•..
Said pipe to be of cast iron six inches or more ' in diameter,
with aJ_1 points well leaded so as to prevent leakage and to be .buried
at leas- moo\ feet below the grade of said streets, said pipe line and
water to be' used for the sale and only use of said Company for rater
for its railroad purposes.
Sec. 3.
Said streets where said pipe line crosses shall be restored
at once to their former condition and the work shall be done speedily
so as -to interfere with travel over said streets as little as practica-
ble and only one street being disturbed at a time except where Crockett
& Orleans Streets cross each other On Said right of way. All to be done
under the supervision of the Street' & Bridge Committees
