LITS OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE PURPOSE OF STORING -AND
- DISTRIBUTING ITS MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS FROM PIRETROLYM TO BE. -SOLD
ITS CUSTOMERS. _

Be it .ordained by the City Council of the City of
Beaumont, that the Gulf Refining Company,, a corporation chartered under
the laves, of the State of Texas and domiciled at or near Port Arthur,
in Jefferson -County, Texas, is hereby granted permission to erect and
maintains distributing station in the Western portion of the city of
Beaumont, ,on land it has leased from the Texas' 8c New Orleans Railroad
Company,.-'. ;in the yard of said Railroad Company, for the purpose of
storing and'distributing;.its manufactured products to its.customers.
Said station to- include "two or-'more,tanks':-of- 300 .barrels, capacity
each, and suitable ware -douse facilities, which tanks shall be situated
and built on brick .or stone- foundations)'and the tanks shall be
constructed of iron or steel.
The property an which and the place where this permit is given
tb erect and maintain said distributing station is described as follows:
."Beginning at the Southeast corner of a tract 'of 5000 square`
feet, heretofore leased by this Company to the.J..M. Guffey Petroleum.
Company, which said -point is 309 feet -North of,and at right angles
from, Engineer's Station 4294 plus 17.3;,thence.Eastwardly, parallel
with the center line of the Texas & New Orleans. Railroad Company's
main track and 309 feet therefrom, at 50 feet to corner.; thence
Northwardly, at right angles from -said main line track, 50 feet to
corner; thence Westwardly parallel with said main line.track,.50 feet
to corner; thence Southwardly, 50 feet to -the place of beginning,
containing 2500 -square feet. of land; or -0-.057 of -an—acre,'= - - - ---. _-.
Section 2. Be...it further ordained that this ordinance be and
take effect from and after its,passage..,, And .it is so ordained.
.Ametnd the Ordina,nee by striking out Section 2 .as. 'it''; is` written,
and insert in Section 2 as follows:
"BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, by the City- rouneil that this Ord inan-ue,
shall not be construed in ani way to affect or repeal the Ordinance
heretofore passed. by .the City Council of the City of -Beaumont''and
found recorded -on page 270 of the written book of OrdinF�noes; but that
the City CaunQil having examined the above Ordinanve, approves the
manner and method of establishing said storage tanks,, and hereby permits
th-e same. "

with the amendment -above - added thereto.
