The goal of this policy is to define the standard of care for any non -trauma induced
unconscious patient.
II. Protocol
A. Institute protocol "203.01A" for all patients.
B. Careful scene observation - look for clues to indicate reason of unconsciousness.
C. Monitor for airway compromise or vomiting.
D. Consider• glucometer reading.
E. Perform CPR as indicated.
