Dear Business Owner/Manager:
Thank you for allowing Beaumont Fire -Rescue Services the opportunity to
better serve you. By allowing our firefighters to familiarize themselves with your
facility, you will have improved the department's ability to respond to your needs.
The information collected can help us to develop specific strategies to control
emergencies that may occur. Reviewing this information is necessary for us to
provide the safest and most effective response possible.
An Officer will contact you to schedule a facility tour at a time that is
convenient for you. To be as thorough as possible, firefighters will conduct a
complete tour of your business. They will need access to all areas of the facility,
including mechanical rooms and storage areas. Benefits of the facility tour may
include minimizing the loss of life or property, improving firefighter safety, and
enhancing the overall effectiveness of the emergency operation.
Every effort will be made to cause as little interruption in your normal
business operations as possible. At this time, we will also ask for the names,
addresses and phone numbers of those persons you designate as emergency
contacts. This will enable us to locate a representative of your business after
normal working hours should the need arise. If a Knox Box is installed at your
location, we will be able to make entry into your business as quickly as possible,
and subsequently notify you of the entry through the emergency contact that you
have chosen.
To better serve our community, the fire department is learning more about
the businesses that we protect. If you should have any questions about this
