Frederick S. Neumann Collection, circa 1940s1980s
DESCRIPTION
Frederick Sloan Neumann was involved in business, civic, and political affairs in Beaumont and in Texas.
He was bom on March 7, 1913, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on February 27, 2006. He served as an
officer during World War B, was president and CEO of Commercial National Bank, and ran in 1960 for a
spot in the United States House of Representatives. He was a member of the Republican Party.
This small collection consists largely of photographs of Republican politicians including United States
Presidents Bush, Sr., Eisenhower, Ford, and Nixon. Some of these photographs include Neumann with
prominent politicians and many photographs are signed. This collection also contains some pamphlets
and certificates related to Fred Neumann and the Republican Party in Texas.
