Gretchen Sparks was employed with the Jefferson County, County Clerk's office during the late 1930s through the 1970s. She served as Deputy County Clerk for many of these years. As reflected in this collection, dating as early as 1833, there is newspaper clippings, correspondence, deed notes, courthouse information and county information inclusive. Some of the folders are not dated due to the fact that Ms. Sparks kept various pertinent records from early years, then proceeded to add new information to those same files.
