He was born in 1873 and worked a variety of jobs including in a planning mill in 1901, as a professional baseball player during the first decade of the 1900s, as the street and bridge department superintendent in Beaumont starting in 1917, and as a deputy sheriff starting in 1930. He died in 1942. This collection includes copies of certificates and awards, newspaper clippings about Mr. and Mrs. Iva Tevis especially during lva's career as a baseball player, and photographs.
