DESCRIPTION
The Broussard family has lived in Southeast Texas since the 1800s and members of the family have been
involved in a number of professions, including the rice industry and undertaking. This collection contains
reproductions of family documents from 1765 and 1842; correspondence about the Broussard genealogy;
genealogical information on the Broussard family covering the 1800s to the 1900s; some genealogical
information on the Bordages, Herbert, Hamshire, and Elliott families; and newspaper clippings related to
members of the family.
