This collection consists of a wide range of various documents,
newspapers and miscellaneous items. There are a number of
photographs that appear to be either related or unrelated to the
collection. Enclosed are telegrams, brochures, maps, and
transportation receipts. Much of the collection is duplicated and
quiet erratic in form. William E. Orqain, one of the partners of
the law firm Orqain, Bell and Tucker was one of the most prominent
attorneys and leader in Beaumont's business and civic affairs. Mr.
Orqain began his law practice in 1906. The collection appears to
contain, in a detached fashion, a general contrast of Mr. Orgain's
personal accumulations. The dates included are 1906 through 1965.
There are census records, insurance papers, correspondence,
directories and depositions.
Most interesting in this collection is Mr. Orgain's interest in
photographs, many being catastrophic in nature.
